While your car is being rented it is covered by the DriveMyCar Motor Fleet Insurance Policy which provides comprehensive insurance for your vehicle and up to $40,000,000 coverage for third party property damage.
All rentals take place under the DriveMyCar Agreement for Use of Motor Vehicle and all costs are paid by the Renter. As an Owner you do not have to pay any extra insurance premiums to cover your car whilst on rental. Your vehicle is covered even if the Driver commits a negligent act, provided you have rented your vehicle in accordance with all Terms and Conditions.
DriveMyCar have a Motor Fleet insurance policy with an international provider (approved by Australian Prudential Regulation Authority) that covers your vehicle while it is being rented.
In the unlikely event that your vehicle is involved in an accident, our skilled team are ready to handle your claim swiftly and professionally.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your car is covered by appropriate Compulsory Third Party Personal insurance. Depending on the state in which the vehicle is registered, you may need to amend your vehicle registration to ‘commercial’ or ‘business’. As the requirements differ from state to state you should contact you state registration authority and CTP insurer for more information.
